UNF Nursing New Student Orientation by Kira, 3rd Semester Nursing Student
They put on their nametags and mingle.
They don't realize they are meeting their new family.
They seem nervous, but excited and ready.
Oh, they do not even know what is coming towards them.
They walk into the classroom like, “where do I sit?”
Why hello there, Health Assessment partner.
They just were briefly introduced to the faculty.
They just met so much brilliance in so little time.
They just completed the icebreaker.
He just learned a fun fact about his new best friend and study buddy.
They just got their minds blown during Real Story.
Honey, it’s about to get realer.
They are feeling a little pressured to join SNA.
They don’t know how many opportunities are out there!
They are so stressed about dropping all that money in one day.
They are investing in their future.
They try on their Vestex scrubs for the first time.
Never forget what UNF Nursing is – revolutionary.
They smile widely for their new nursing badges.
Save that smile! You’re going to need it.
They leave Taking Flight, with just a week until their first day of class.
Soar, Stellar Osprey Student Nurses, soar!
They were me… one year ago. I looked up to those navy polos. I studied hard, played hard, and here I stand, beaming to be a part of UNF Nursing and an active member of our SNA. In one year from now, they will be in my place and I will (hopefully!) be graduated and a licensed nurse.
So, to all the new students, and all current students: Our BSN lies straight ahead!
